Free Entrepreneurship Training Course for Displaced People from Nagorno-Karabakh

The Republican Union of Employers of Armenia is launching the recruitment for the third group of the Entrepreneurship Education Development Program for displaced people from Nagorno-Karabakh.
The program is designed to enhance participants’ business skills while offering practical guidance and personalized consultation for launching their own businesses.
Course Topics:
The course covers fundamental business knowledge and practical skills for beginner entrepreneurs, including:
- The essence of business and its economic context
- Procedures for state business registration, step-by-step requirements, and legal regulations
- The concept, structure, and crucial role of a business plan
- Principles and significance of financial planning
- Advantages, disadvantages, strengths, and weaknesses of small and medium enterprises
- Cost calculation, pricing, and breakeven point determination
- Organizational budget planning and financial management
- Armenian tax system (tax legislation and types of taxes)
- Preparation and submission of tax reports, deadlines, and procedures
- Reliable sources of information and practical application
- Financial institutions as sources of capital and forms of collaboration
- Importance of market research, market positioning, and promotion

Course Details:
- Duration: 1 month
- Format: Hybrid (in-person and online)
- Schedule: 3 sessions per week, 2 hours each

RUEA has been working with the World Food Programme in a multiphase assessment of Armenia’s food security system. On 5 February, 2021 we had a mini-conference to discuss the pillars around which food security system of Armenia can help develop the other sectors of the economy (we estimated at least 15 such sector linkages with food security).

30-04-2021On 30 April 2021, three RUEA representatives attended a meeting on the progress of the “Resource Saving and Clean Production” (RSCP) component of the “EU for the Environment” program. The main purpose of the meeting was to demonstrate the possible application of RSCP practices based on food / agriculture, construction materials and chemical industry, as well as to receive suggestions on partnership opportunities with other interested organizations.
